About Puja

Phālguna Pūrṇimā, celebrated as Holi, is a highly auspicious full-moon day associated with renewal, abundance, and the blossoming of divine grace. On this sacred occasion, Śrī Sūkta Hōmam is performed to invoke Goddess Mahālakṣmī, the eternal source of wealth, fortune, nourishment, and well-being.
This powerful Vedic ritual is especially prescribed for those facing financial instability, blocked income, lack of growth despite effort, or disturbances in material prosperity. Phālguna Pūrṇimā amplifies the fruits of Lakṣmī worship, making it an ideal day to seek lasting abundance and harmony.

Ritual Sequence and Spiritual Significance:
The puja begins with Sankalpam, taken in the devotee’s name and gotra, praying for financial stability, removal of poverty-related karmas, growth in livelihood, and household prosperity. This is followed by the sacred Śrī Sūkta Hōmam, where powerful mantras from the Śrī Sūkta are offered into the consecrated fire, invoking Mahālakṣmī through Agni—the divine carrier of offerings.
Each āhuti is made with strict adherence to Vedic vidhi, aligning the devotee’s efforts with cosmic abundance and dharmic prosperity.

The Vedas declare:
“हिरण्यवर्णां हरिणीं सुवर्णरजतस्रजाम्”
— “The Goddess shines with golden radiance, bestowing wealth, nourishment, and auspiciousness.”
